One list per meaning
掛ける can mean to hang, to spend, to phone, to sit or to multiply. One list for all five would fit none of them, so each meaning gets its own. The list under "to phone" is about phoning.
Read the definitions
Every row shows its own English definition. That is the part that tells you how the words differ: 言う and 話す both mean to say, and the definition is where you see which one to use.

What is in the list
- Dictionary words only. The dictionary also holds millions of conjugated forms. Without this limit, 自動車 would bring back 車内で instead of 電気自動車.
- No look-alike list. Shapes are matched without order, so 自動 and 動自 would score as a perfect pair, yet 動自 is not a word.
