Push troubleshooting

Push works only when every step in the chain holds: your device grants permission, your device is set up to receive push from eevy, and Push is turned on for that notification type. When a push is missing, one step is usually open, so work these checks in order.

1. Permission was denied

You tapped "Not now" or declined the system prompt, so push can't reach you, and the in-app prompt won't ask again.

  1. Open your phone's Settings app and find eevy.
  2. Open Notifications and turn them on.
  3. Reopen the eevy app so push can finish turning on.

2. Your device settings are muting it

Permission is granted, but a device setting is holding the push back. Check that:

  • Notifications for eevy are enabled in your device settings.
  • Lock-screen and banner styles are allowed.
  • No Focus mode, Do Not Disturb, or battery-saver profile is silencing the app.

3. Push is off for this type in eevy

Push is a per-type control, so a type can show in your inbox while its Push control is off, for example if you turned Push off for it before.

  1. Open notification settings.
  2. Expand the category.
  3. Confirm Push is on for the type you expect.

4. Turn push off and on again

Push can stop reaching this device after a device update, a reinstall, or a long stretch offline.

Turn Push off and on again
Open notification settings and toggle Push off, then back on for the type you expect.
Sign out and back in
Signing out and back in resets push for this device.

Good to know

In-app notifications and email don't depend on push. If a push is missing, the same item still lands in your notifications inbox, so you never lose the update while you sort out push.
