Mastery is the record of everything you have studied. Card Review is the one session that takes on whatever is due.
What the dashboard shows
Tabs
Words, kanji, kana, and knowledge cards, each on its own tab.
Skill levels
Every skill runs from New up to Mastered, so reading and listening stand on their own.
Next Review
When the item comes back: overdue, today, tomorrow, or a later date.
Search and filters
Narrow the list to what you want to see.
Knowledge cards
Track opens and how often you return, not scores.
When an item is due
Each skill on an item carries its own review date. Once that date passes, the item is due for that skill.
Card Review
One session over everything due, whichever collection introduced it. It serves words and kana characters, most overdue first.
Why the count moves
- Rises on its own as scheduled dates arrive.
- Falls as you finish reviews, since each one takes a date further ahead.
- Misses stay close and can return within the same session.
How reviews are scheduled
Every item keeps two estimates for each skill:
- How long the memory holds.
- How much work the item takes you.
Your rating and how quickly you answered update both. The next review lands near the point you would start to forget.
Setting an item aside
Set aside removes an item from your sessions entirely, every skill at once, without deleting it. Open the item here to bring it back.
